Essentially anyone can use Ai, and in most cases I would recommend that every marketer and business owner should be leveraging the technology to some degree. The "secret sauce" in my opinion is to not rely EXCLUSIVELY on Ai technology, but to use it as a tool for efficiency and creativity. The key to leveraging AI effectively is to complement it with strategic input and personal flair that AI alone cannot replicate.


The Importance of Human Touch


While AI can generate content based on parameters and data, it lacks the ability to infuse pieces with genuine personal experiences and emotional nuances that resonate with readers. Ai also has a habit of "making stuff up", which can be difficult to detect if you're not paying close attention to the content that it is creating. Personal touches in content are not only favored by search engines that prioritize unique and engaging material but are also crucial for establishing a connection with the audience. As a digital marketer, my stance is clear: incorporating our personal experiences, expertise, and opinions into AI-generated content enriches it, providing depth that purely automated content lacks. This human element distinguishes our work from the masses, offering a competitive edge in both SEO and reader engagement.


As digital marketers, we leverage the power of Ai to assist us in creating content, feeding very specific custom prompts into various platforms to get us "Part way there". This is the critical cross-roads moment when it comes to whether or not your content is going to stand out and perform well. While it can be tempting to just copy and publish the Ai generated content, it's important to fine tune it at this juncture, adding the human touch that is so desperately needed.

To create content that truly stands out, it is essential to use AI not just as a tool for efficiency but as a collaborator in the creative process. Start with specific, well-thought-out prompts that guide AI in generating initial drafts. From there, enrich these drafts with insights drawn from personal knowledge and professional experiences. *Expert Tip* You may be thinking "Why don't I just prompt the Ai to add in case studies from the internet that is related to my content". While this MAY work, in our experience, Ai has a very bad habit here for doing a number of things that are going to hurt your content. We have seen Ai make up case studies entirely, referencing URL's that have absolutely nothing to do with the story. We have also found that Ai does a very bad job of citing URLs in general, often providing broken links or directing to completely unrelated content.


Example of Effective AI Integration


Consider a digital marketing campaign for a new product launch. Using AI, a team can quickly generate a variety of content pieces—from social media posts to email newsletters. Many varieties of content can be generated very quickly, sparking new ideas and different paths of approach. A consistent message with a tone that is in line with the brand image can be crafted very quickly in this fashion. However, the campaign's success often hinges on how well these pieces engage the target audience. By injecting stories about the product development process, customer testimonials, and personalized messages from the CEO, the content becomes more relatable and impactful.
